Mossimo Long and Lean Tank

28 Oct

Target is probably my favorite store of all time. I could claim my favorite store is something cool like Sephora, or Nordstrom, or some little boutique, but I’d be lying. I mean, if I really think about it, do I go to any of these places one or more times EVERY WEEK? No. But that is how often I go to Target.

I believe it was the Dalai Lama who said, "If it's not at Target, do you really need it?"

Target is great because it has all the boring stuff you need like toilet paper and multivitamins and sweatpants, but in a cool-looking, stylish environment. And they have a totally legit generic line that has never let me down.

Most stores that sell vitamins, vacuums, groceries, and shower curtains usually have terrible clothing departments. But not Target. Not only does Target regularly have high-end designers create limited-edition, lower-cost product lines, but they also have permanent collections that are great for stocking up on basics.

My absolute favorite wardrobe staple is the Mossimo Long and Lean Tank. And I do mean staple. My daily uniform is a tank top and a cardigan, and about 80% of the time my tank top is a Long and Lean. They’re so comfortable and useful, and they come in a bunch of colors.

Tank top perfection.

The first thing that drew me to the Long and Lean Tank is that, well, they’re long. I have a long torso AND I like my shirts to cover everything, and even be a little on the long side. These tanks are a great length, and are perfect for layering under shirts that are a little too short for my taste. The scoop neck shows just the right amount of cleavage, and makes these tanks perfect for just about any occasion. I’ve worn a long and lean tank to both dressy and schlubby events and looked great, and event appropriate, every time.

Plus, this fantastic wardrobe essential is only $8! They regularly go on sale for $5-6 and I stock up then. But still, $8 for something that I wear every day is a pretty great deal. The Long and Lean Tank washes up really well and doesn’t wear out too quickly. And if you wear yours till it’s threadbare (like I do), it’s only $8 to replace it! I own about 10 of these bad boys and I’m always checking Target to see if they have any new colors in stock. I might have an addiction. But trust me, this tank is totally addiction worthy.
