Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

27 Jan

If you know me in real life, or if you read my old blog, you’ll know that I”m obsessed with Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners. Seriously, insanely obsessed. Like, say we’re hanging out at your place, and naturally I’m snooping through your stuff, as I am want to do. I dig through your makeup bag, hoping to find some new product to try or just get a peek into your personal life, and I see some eyeliner. It’s L’oreal or MAC or whatever. I will stop dead in my snooping tracks, turn to you, and yell, “What the eff is wrong with you?! Haven’t I told you about Urban Decay eyeliners? Get this shit out of your makeup bag and GET RIGHT.” This exact scenario has happened multiple times. But all those people who I saved from a life of mediocre eyeliner? They’re now disciples of Urban Decay 24/7, and I’m sure they’ll never go back to what they were using before.

A magical rainbow of eyeliner beauti-osity

You may be thinking, “What’s so great about them? Eyeliner is eyeliner!” and you are WRONG. These eyeliners go on super smooth, smudge really well, but also stay put right where you want them to. Even the oiliest of lids won’t be able to wear off this liner. And I know from oily lids.

NOW you may be thinking, “That’s all well and good, but my hands are as steady as a meth addict’s on day two of withdrawal.” Well, you may have steered clear of eyeliner before, but 24/7 liner is idiot-proof. The pencils are creamy, and the color goes on without having to apply too much pressure, tug on your eyes (you shouldn’t do that at all, btw), or have a super steady hand. I draw on my eyelids like a two year old “colors,” and I end up looking foxy as hell in my 24/7 eyeliner.

So to recap: This eyeliner is easy to apply, stays on forever, and comes in a boatload of great colors. Why, that must be the best eyeliner in the world! Yes, yes it is.

One trick I’ve picked up: If you like the look of a lined lower lash line, but always seem to overdo it or think it looks too dark, try using Lucky (dark copper) as your lower liner. Just draw a line, then smudge it lightly with your fingers. It’ll leave a not-too dark line, and add a little sparkle to your eyes. I combine this with almost every color liner I wear, and it always looks great.
